Since 2007, we have been organizing cultural projects aimed at building a large audience and attracting them to concert halls, so that they can discover the joy of live symphony concerts.
PRESIDENT & FOUNDER, CĂTĂLIN OPRIŢOIU
The Bucharest Symphony Orchestra was the first Romanian orchestra invited in 2013 and the second time in 2017, alongside French conductor Benoît Fromanger, to perform for the first time in famous venues in South America, such as: Teatro Colón, Teatro Coliseo in Buenos Aires, and Teatro El Circulo in Rosario, Argentina; Sala São Paulo in São Paulo and Teatro L'Occitane Trancoso in Brazil, the Corpartes 660 Cultural Center in Santiago de Chile, Chile, and the Gran Teatro Nacional in Lima, Peru, and Teatro Solís in Montevideo, Uruguay. The concerts were attended by representatives of the diplomatic corps, both from Romanian missions and from other countries. The delegation was well represented and received good media coverage throughout the concert tours. Reports entitled "Romanians conquer South America" were broadcast on the Reporterii Realității program on Realitatea TV in 2013, and "The Delight of Romania" was broadcast on the În Premieră program on Antena 3 in 2017. The 2013 tour was organized in partnership with the Romanian Government through the General Secretariat of the Government. As a result of the convincing artistic performances, the organizers in South America sent a new invitation to participate in 2021.
In 2014, under the baton of Austrian conductor Jin Wang, who is of Chinese origin , the Bucharest Symphony Orchestra gave 20 concerts during its first tour of the People's Republic of China, thus becoming the first Romanian symphony orchestra to perform after 1990 in a major tour of Shanghai, Nanjing, Ningbo, Suzhou, Wuxi, Changzhou, and Hangzhou.
Dozens of Romanian musicians, known throughout the world, were at home on the stage of the Romanian Athenaeum on September 4, 2018. They arrived from America, Switzerland, Italy, Germany, Austria, Spain, Greece, and Lebanon to form the International Orchestra of Romanians, a project close to the heart of the Bucharest Symphony Orchestra Association, carried out with the support of ArCub. Many instrumentalists with impressive international careers came together in an orchestra in Romania, where they had taken their first music lessons. The Great Union of December 1 was celebrated by bringing Romanians from all over the world together on the same stage. The concert featured guest soloists Elena Moșuc, a renowned soprano, Bogdan Băcanu, Christopf Sietzen, Rodin Moldovan, and Nicolae Moldoveanu, a Swiss conductor of Romanian origin with an impressive career on the world's major stages.
Under the banner "Music that unites us," on September 12, 2018, the Bucharest Symphony Orchestra held a concert in partnership with the General Secretariat of the Government on the occasion of the Centenary of the Great Union, 2018. The concept of "Music that unites us" sought to identify the ideal of union, which can be related to present-day Romania, in order to highlight the importance of the event that took place 100 years ago, but also the need to perpetuate this concept in a society that no longer identifies so much with the notion of unity and union. Being united means being strong, being respected, having an identity.

"La agrupación orquestal rumana, con las violas situadas frente a los violines primeros, nos mostró un sonido compacto, muy equilibrado en las distintas secciones, distinguiéndose con nitidez cada timbre instrumental. En la «Rapsodia rumana N° 1» nos presentó una interpretación vital, era un vals con muchos clímax y anticlímax, como en una danza alocada, en una reinterpretación o actualización del tradicional vals vienes, tal como lo hiciera también Ravel, con su obra «La Valse»". cineyliteratura.cl

Cello Fundamento, Vietnam
At the invitation of renowned Vietnamese cellist Đinh Hoài Xuân and under the auspices of "Cello Fundamento International Concert 6," as Official Cultural Ambassador, the Bucharest Symphony Orchestra will join OCEANA on November 15, 2022, at the Hanoi Opera House, alongside renowned Romanian and Vietnamese artists such as conductor Ciprian Marinescu, cello soloists Răzvan Suma and Ella Bokor, pianist Iulian Ochescu, singer Tan Nhan, clarinetist Tran Khanh Quang, and the Choir of the Vietnam National Academy of Music. Entitled OCEANA, the event was the sixth concert in the Cello Fundamento international concert series and marked the 72nd anniversary of diplomatic relations between Romania and Vietnam. It was the most important event for the Vietnamese cello community and music lovers.
All the events raised Romania's profile among the European citizens who took part in these artistic events.
"It is an honor for the Bucharest Symphony Orchestra to be part of this extraordinary effort to promote the cello, to mark the 72nd anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two nations, and to be the first Romanian orchestra to perform in Vietnam. In exchange for Xuan's love for Romania and his passion for the cello, we bring with us music as a common language, medium, and form of communication that no one can take away from us or take from us, either as artists or as music lovers. The emotions that music conveys remain forever as memories and represent the way in which feelings, apart from words, reach our hearts directly. We bring to Vietnam our contribution to musical creation and interpretation, to human relations and to peace of mind, which further promote these values and represent a factor in our development as artists, positively affecting and healing people's hearts. Thank you, Xuan, for providing us with the perfect bridge for this!" said Alexandru Dutulescu, solo cellist, founder, and communications manager of the Bucharest Symphony Orchestra.
Romania sets the tone for the European Union
The project ROMANIA SETS THE TONE FOR THE EUROPEAN UNION, which took place between June 8 and 23, 2019, aimed to draw attention to Romania in the most unique and modern way possible: through flash mobs. Participation in these artistic events strengthened the bond between citizens and the Union by involving them more actively in the development of European issues. Art, through music, can ensure the bond of unity in diversity, a concept specific to the European Union. A project declared the winner in the funding session launched by the Romanian Government, through the Ministry of Culture and National Identity, and partly funded by the Philson Young Association, the project ROMANIA SETS THE TONE FOR THE EUROPEAN UNION has brought back into the public eye the fundamental values that have been at the heart of previous generations' consciousness and which, although they may be considered outdated today, can successfully strengthen cultural relations. As a result of this project, famous classical music pieces were heard in unusual locations such as airports and train stations in the European Union. The six flash mobs took place in Madrid, June 9 - Adolfo Suárez-Madrid Barajas Airport, Prague, June 11 - Central Station, Bratislava, June 12 - Bratislava Airport, Vienna, June 13 - Central Station, Brussels, June 14 - Brussels Airport, and Helsinki, June 22 - Central Station.
