Founded in 2007, the Bucharest Symphony Orchestra is a leading Romanian musical ensemble. The Bucharest Symphony Orchestra was founded by three musicians eager to set a standard of excellence in Romanian music, bringing together the most talented instrumentalists in the country.
During the annual Salut CULTURA! season, the orchestra managed to create and present innovative musical concepts, offering the public the opportunity to enjoy quality music. Through an impressive series of concerts and events, held in traditional halls, outdoors, and in less conventional venues, the Bucharest Symphony Orchestra has earned its reputation and the appreciation of music lovers.
With a diverse repertoire ranging from classical music to film scores, pop/rock, and crossover, the orchestra promotes excellence in music and continues to attract a diverse audience to concert halls. Through prestigious international collaborations and invitations to landmark events, the Bucharest Symphony Orchestra has been recognized as Romania's official Cultural Ambassador, being the first orchestra in the country invited to perform in famous concert halls in South America and Asia, in a series of unforgettable performances that impressed audiences in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Peru, Uruguay, China, and Vietnam.
Since 2007, the Bucharest Symphony Orchestra has performed hundreds of concerts alongside renowned artists from around the world, produced high-quality cultural events, and proudly represented Romania internationally. The Bucharest Symphony Orchestra has been described by the Argentine press as "a capsule of strength and passion."

2015/2016 China
Under the baton of Austrian conductor Jin Wang, who is of Chinese origin, the Bucharest Symphony Orchestra gave 20 concerts during its first tour of the People's Republic of China, becoming the first Romanian symphony orchestra to perform in Shanghai, Nanjing, Ningbo, Suzhou, Wuxi, Changzhou, and Hangzhou since 1990. In 2016, the Bucharest Symphony Orchestra was invited for the second time and performed another eight concerts in other major Chinese cities, such as Beijing and Harbin.
